Department of Electrical Techniques Organized Workshop on Connection of Wind Power Generations to Electrical Grid

Dr. Ahmed Atia, the Head of Electrical Techniques Department, delivered a workshop entitled ( The Connection of Wind Power Generations To Electrical Grid), which came as an activity of the sustainable development program of the Quality Assurance Department at Northern Technical University.
It defined the kinds of wind power generation systems and the parts of the turbine, which constitutes the critical component of the systems. It clarified the mechanism of these systems, which are linked with the central power grid and mini-grids within a hybrid generation system.
It focused on the importance of sustainable energy, for being clean energy, and fully utilizing renewable energy, which has a positive impact on reducing global warming resulted from carbon dioxide emissions compared to traditional electrical generation systems that use fossil fuels.
