The Rector of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Al-Attar, opened in Mosul Technical Institute the first international virtual meeting entitled ( Artificial Intelligence: Future Challenges and Opportunities) on June 15, 2021. The Conference, organized by Mosul Technical Institute and supervised by the dean Ms. Shahla Abdul-Wahab, The activities of the first virtual international forum will continue for two days. Among the attendees were deans of many Iraqi universities and institutes. The First-day activities began with an electronic lecture entitled (Future Trends in Artificial Intelligence and its Applications in Education) by Dr. Atef Abbas from the Gernas Academy – for Training and Management Consulting in the United Arab Emirates – followed by evening sessions as scheduled. At the end of the first-day activities, the dean of the Mosul Technical Institute honored the student Yahya Muhammad Khazal, from Al-Mawhobin School in Nineveh Governorate, for winning a competition on artificial intelligence, held in India, and ranked second in a competition that had witnessed five thousand participants from all over the world for young age groups.
